Are my images uploaded anywhere?
Not for conversion. Your file is drawn to a canvas in your own browser and exported as WebP there — it never leaves your device. AI editing is the one exception: that request is sent to the model provider, and it only happens when you explicitly ask for an edit.
What does it cost?
WebP conversion, resizing and bulk export are free, with no account required. AI editing and generation run on credits you buy once — there is no subscription, and credits do not expire.
How much smaller will my files get?
WebP commonly lands 25–80% below the original depending on the source format and content. Screenshots and flat graphics tend to gain the most; already-compressed photos gain less. The converter shows you the before and after size for every file.
Can I convert a whole folder at once?
Yes. Drop in as many files as you like, set the quality and width once, and every image reprocesses with those settings. You can download them individually or as a single ZIP.
Does it work with animated GIFs?
Partly. Animated GIFs are accepted, but the first frame is extracted and converted to a static WebP. Full animated WebP output is not supported yet.
Which browsers are supported?
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Conversion relies on the standard canvas WebP encoder, so no plugin or install is needed.
